All Upper School students participate in Stonehaven's adventure club called Pathfinders.

The club takes on high-wire adventures all around metro Atlanta and beyond. The students choose from a menu of activities which include hiking, mountain climbing, biking, kayaking, snorkeling and more. This is an opportunity for the school to cultivate important virtues (courage, teamwork, leadership) that can be formed and shaped outside of the classroom. The education at Stonehaven is organized to develop all aspects of a child's character. Pathfinders provides a unique chance for students, teachers, and parents to enjoy the wonders of God's world and learn how they are to be faithful stewards of His creation.

Over the past ten years, Pathfinders has enjoyed the following excursions:

  • Snorkeling in the Cohutta Wilderness
  • Hiking at James H. Floyd State Park
  • Orienteering at Red Top Mountain
  • Indoor Rock Climbing at Stone Summit
  • Urban Hiking on the Atlanta Beltline
  • Canoeing at Chattahoochee Nature Center
  • Mountain Biking at Blankets Creek
  • Hiking at Tallulah Gorge
  • Kayaking the Chattahoochee River
  • Hiking at Amicalola Falls
  • Biking on Silver Comet Trail
